Finding Comillas was done in cooperation with Astrid Hjortdal. It is a site specific work done over the course of five days for La Nave Imaginable, an art space in Comillas (Carabanchel), Madrid. It is an attempt at getting under the surface of a place that was completely new to us, in a short period of time, by behaving in everyday, erratic and silly ways. By shifting the locations of objects, following strangers, feeding the pigeons, and burying treasures. For the work I was on site in Comillas, while Astrid was participating remotely. Every day I would send some photographs or texts to her. She would respond with drawings, texts and instructions for me to follow as best I could.
