Sorrow and Joy was recorded over the course of three weeks in November 2022. It documents me and my uncle at the family farm, where he still lives, talking about his life and the place and creating a semi-fictional scene dealing with the situation of the place. A peripheral place in Medelpad, Sweden, affected by the usual problems such as a dwindling population and a sense that the future is elsewhere.
